ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effects of atorvastatin on the natural antisense transcription of apolipoprotein A1 (apoA1-NAT) in the HepG2cells and its influence in the expressions of lipid metabolism related genes. Methods:The HepG2cells were intervened with different concentrations (0, 1, 10and 100nmol·L-1) of atorvastatin, and the 0nmol·L-1 atorvastatin group was used as control group. The total RNA of HepG2cells in various groups were extracted at different time points (6, 12, 24, and 48h) .The mRNA expression levels of lipid metabolism-related genes and apoA1-NAT expression levels were detected by Real-Time PCR method. Results:The morphology of HepG2 cells in 1and 10nmol·L-1 atorvastain groups was normal.Compared with 6h, the expression levels of apoA1-NAT in the HepG2cells in 10nmol·L-1 atorvastatin group at 12, 24and 48hwere significantly decreased (P<0.01) in a time-dependent manner.Under the same condition, the expression level of apoA1mRNA in the HepG2cells at 48hwas increased significantly compared with 6h (P<0.01) .Compared with control group, the expression levels of low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) in the HepG2 cells in100nmol·L-1 atorvastatin group, scavenger receptor-class B type 1 (SRB1) in 10nmol·L-1 atorvastatin group and ATP binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) in 1and 10nmol·L-1 atorvastatin groups were increased (P<0.01) in different degrees. Conclusion:Atorvastatin can promote the expressions of lipid metabolism-related genes by inhibiting the expression of apoA1-NAT, and promote the process of reverse cholesterol transport.

ABSTRACT

Objective: In order to describe the employment status of the first group of targeted admission medical graduates, evaluate the effects of targeted admission medical education program, find out the existing problems and provide relevant policy recommendations. Methods: This study conducted follow-up survey among 305 medical graduates and 315 clinical medical graduates in four medical colleges of the central and western regions.Data analyses of the contract fulfillment, their employment status, and their participation in the standardized residency training are carried out. Results: The contract fulfillment rate of rural-oriented medical graduates is 99.3%, while the percentages of rural-oriented medical graduates and clinical medical graduates are 90.7% and 2.8%, respectively.Their average monthly incomes are respectively 2,011 and 2,774 yuan, and their proportions of participating in standardized residency training are 77.8% and 43.3% respectively. From the findings it can be seen that the employment situation of the first group of targeted admission medical graduates in four medical colleges and universities is quite good, but the policy implementation process in terms of permanent post and income is less satisfactory. However, the way how medical graduates should participate in the standardized residency training is not yet clearly regulated. This paper recommends that medical colleges and universities should well coordinate with local health administrative departments and human resources and social security departments to systematically deploy medical graduates. At the same time, full consultations should be conducted to make appropriate arrangement for medical graduates to participate in standardized residency training.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to investigate the current situation of the enrollment , training model and career planning of medical students in the targeted admission program .After analyzing the implementation process of this targeted admission policy in medical education , we raised some feasible strategies to increase the attraction and reten-tion of health professionals in rural China .The study covered 4 medical universities in central and western China .A cohort of 308 medical graduates from this targeted admission program were recruited in June 2015 .A baseline survey , including questionnaire survey , in-depth interviews and the focus group discussions , were conducted right before their graduation .The first follow-up online survey was done 6 months after their graduation .he findings of this investiga-tion show that 72.9%of the investigated students in the program used to live in rural areas before 15 years old.The average annual household income was 28,200 Yuan. The top three reasons of choosing this program were guaranteed job after graduation , low performance in the college entrance examination , and wavier of tuition fee .There were sig-nificant differences of implementation of this policy between different provinces , especially the contract-signing and job deployment .Income and working environment were the main influencing factors of the medical graduates 'job-see-king intention .Based on the findings of this study , it can be concluded that the targeted admission program is rather successful in attracting medical graduates for rural health services .However , extra efforts are needed to improve the implementation of the policy and to retain the medical graduates in rural area .

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND:Hip’s anatomy structure is complex, and the traditional two-dimensional imaging, such as X-ray film or CT scan, is susceptible to image overlap and other soft tissue. As a result, there are some limitations in the diagnosis of hip disease. The digital model is built based on reverse engineering and rapid prototyping. It is comprehensive, intuitive and accurate of the stereo configuration of the hip and the spatial relations of other parts’ anatomical structures. This study has a broad application prospect. OBJECTIVE:To reconstruct the personalized three-dimensional entity model of the hip bone with computer aided technology. METHODS: The human hips were scanned with a portable three-dimensional laser scanner, and then the point cloud data of the hips were gotten. The point cloud was processed and the three-dimensional model reconstruction was carried out by using the engineering software Geomagic and the computer aided software CimatronE. Three-dimensional print of hip was completed and the model was gotten, which was consistent with the geometry of hip bone, through the rapid prototyping machine. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:A model with good geometric similarity and biomechanical characteristics was built by digital modeling method based on reverse engineering and rapid prototyping. This way of digital modeling provided the basis for digital manufacturing of artificial hip, virtual assembly, stress analysis and surgical simulation.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To combine human anatomy preferably with Tibetan medical anatomy, thus, teaching quality and level of human anatomy has been improved.Method:To explain the major terms of Tibetan medical anatomy;combining with the Tibetan medical anatomy,to write the human anatomy teaching materials that fit the anatomy teaching of the Tibetan medical specialty to improve the teaching method;at the same time,to observe the teaching effects through the analyses of the questionnaire and exam results.Result:Shown as the investigation, those who think that the teaching materials have helped more to study human anatomy are taking 90.6%.After using this teaching material, people who think that those teaching materials has helped more tostudy Tisetan medical anatomy are taking 79.2%;Examination result analysis shows that,in two classes, before the teaching reform was implemented, students of above 80 marks were 12.5%,but after the teaching reform was implemented, those were 57.8%.Conclusion:The teaching material construction and teaching method reform brought into positive effects in the anatomy teaching quality improvement of the Tibetan medical specialty.
